ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for the first East Coast screening of a documentary about artist David Fertig, created by fellow painter Alex Cohen.  This film invites the audience into the company of a singularly captivating character and his immersive studio in South Philadelphia.  David, who lives without the internet and emulates the life of a 19th-century romantic, expounds on his contrarian existance and obsession with Napoleonic history, his influences and mentors, and his commitment to a life ruled entirely by art.

The film runs 58 minutes and will be followed by a short Q and A with the film's creator, Alex Cohen, facilitated by Clara Weishahn.
